The Bridge 2 Trades program molds a pathway for underserved Boston-area high school students to embark on a journey toward skilled trades careers.

A career in the skilled trades offers diverse opportunities for growth, financial stability, and hands-on experience. Embracing these professions empowers underserved students to break barriers, contribute to their communities, and challenge stereotypes in the workforce.

For women and people of color, the skilled trades allow them to lead an entire industry into the future, sparking innovations, fostering creativity, and solving problems.

The expert-led program (July-August 2024) provides students with:

  • Convenient training sessions per week

  • Hands-on learning led by industry professionals

  • Career planning and life skills training

  • Financial literacy education

  • Trade exploratory field trips

  • Opportunities for job shadowing, internships, and apprenticeships

Selection requirements:

  • Boston metro area resident

  • Completed Grades 10th -12th as of June 2024

  • Able to participate in the entire six-week program
